Organization and Formation

1.  Organization

The regiment, commanded by Colonel Sir Zeller, is formed of three battalions. 

 1^st Battalion, The Uradeln 21^st Rgt, under Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Wiemers.

 2^nd Battalion, The Uradeln 21^st Rgt, under LTC Adam.

 3^rd Battalion, The Uradeln 21^st Rgt, under LTC Kleinsorge.

All Uradeln Regiment conscript training is undertaken at the Imperial Guard Training Center, Davic Bastion, on planet Uradel. 

2.  Formation

Imperial Guard Regiments from Uradel are drawn up from the local Planetary Defense Forces.  The Uradelns were inspired in their uniforms, arms, and equipment by the Cadian Guard Regiments, which are famous throughout the Imperium of Man for their numerous occasions of stalwart defense of the Cadian Gate against the forces of Chaos.  Each new Guard Regiment from Uradel is formed with the standard 5,000 Guardsmen and almost all Uradeln Regiments are made up of regular infantry.  The 21st regiment is somewhat unique in that it is commanded by a member of the ruling family of Uradel.  As such, the regiment has been outfitted to be more powerful than the average Imperial Guard regiment by being made up of combined arms.  The heavy support and fast attack elements that have been added to the regiment are from off-world and typically crewed by off-worlders, though Uradelns have been embedded within these vehicle crews in order to learn from them.
