20 to 21 November 2009: Keeping the Sha'kel in their place

20 to 21 November 2009:  A cowardly force of the bovine “Sha'kel” Tau attempted to defect from their own forces who are trapped within the planet Aurignac's capital city of Thursee.  These Tau sought to escape the besieged city by traveling through a volcanic region to the northwest of the city, no doubt believing this area would be lightly defended by Imperial forces.  They ran into the unforgiving guns of 3^rd Company, 3^rd Battalion, under Captain Nave.  In their desperation to escape and preserve their filthy Xenos lives, the Tau tried every nefarious trick up their sleeve to break through 3^rd Company, even resorting to sending their depraved cannibalistic Kroot allies on a flanking attack.  These over-sized chickens with arms instead of wings were so petrified that they forgot to use their rifles in close combat with our valorous Uradelns.  Soon they were squawking and scampering away but we fried these dastardly chicken creatures with our flamethrowers for sport!  Eventually, though they sustained grievous losses, the Tau forces nearly broke through Imperial lines before being checked by reinforcing units.  The next day in that same volcanic region further away from Thursee, a small force of Drache-Uten Eldar attempted to sieze an abandoned object of Tau technology which had been left as the Tau withdrew to the temporary safety of their shield generator within Thursee.  2^nd Company, 2^nd Battalion under Captain Adam utterly annihilated the foul Xenos with extreme prejudice!  Their sorcerers, Avatar, and feeble warriors alike all died in a merciless hail of fire from our infantrymen, heavy weapons, and tanks.  Four Eldar surrendered and have been handed over to the Inquisition for interrogation and examination.  Captain Adam has been awarded The Macharian Cross for his successes in battle and his admirable leadership, he is the second member of the Uradeln 21^st Regiment to win an Imperial Guard Honour.  “We Strike with the Wrath of the Righteous!”
