22 May 2009: Elements of 1st Company, 1st Battalion, conducted a movement to contact that erupted into a small battle against the rear guard (Iron Warriors) of the retreating Traitor Marines, who had been giving ground following our victory on the 8th of this month. We focused on killing off the Raptor (Fast Attack) Squad but 1 of them survived long enough to blow up one of our Leman Russ Battle Tanks, which killed 2 infantrymen in the explosion. We then killed a powerful Chaos sorcerer who was wearing Terminator armor, then the last of the infantry faced a squad of Chaos Marines. Our casualties were heavy but 4 Uradeln infantrymen survived the fierce fight and chased the last two Traitor Marines off the field. We were of course unable to salvage the remains of the tank; however, 3 heavy weapons and 5 WIA men were returned to action. 4 men fled the battlefield in dishonorable panic so their sergeant was executed and the rest have been transferred to a Penal Battalion.
