8 May 2010: Exterminating the Flying Space Marine Cannibals

8 May 2010:  Colonel Sir Zeller and Charlie Company, 2^nd Battalion fought a fierce battle against the remnants of the Flying Space Marine Cannibals and decimated the enemy force at the expense of 3^rd Platoon.  We brought merciless firepower to bear but the enemy took an exorbitant amount of punishment before dying.  In the end, with the battlefield littered with guardsmen and cannibals and with the burning hulks of our tanks and the enemy's bizarre war machines, Colonel Sir Zeller's Command Squad and the last of 3^rd Platoon's troops fought a desperate close combat against the foe.  2^nd Platoon's reinforcements arrived just in time to save Colonel Sir Zeller's life, though he was wounded and Color Sergeant Maulsby and the rest of the Squad were killed.  The few remaining cannibals are being hunted by allied Space Marines in the hill country south of the Chenendoa Valley.  “As the Emperor protects, so must we.”
