2 April 2010:  Elements of Alpha Company, 1^st Battalion, under Captain Kleinsorge, successfully fought off an element of a new Orc Waagh! somewhere in the vicinity of Betelgeuse Valley on planet Zarevok.  Intelligence believes that this is not the same Orc Waagh! that Captain Donovan of B Co, 3^rd Battalion discovered migrating through the Akiva Desert, which he maneuvered into a region with no oasis so they would die off.  Regardless, Kleinsorge's troops inflicted heavy losses on the orcs while our forces took minimal losses.  We assaulted the orcs on the left flank with HUG platoon, inspired by Commissar Serbousek who fought at their forefront, in order to relieve a beleaguered hamlet and a nearby weapons cache, thus allowing Zarevoki natives to escape and gaining control of extra ammo.  HUG platoon won two separate close combat actions against the orcs and slaughtered a third group of orcs under a merciless hail of las gun fire.  Our Vendetta destroyed an orc self propelled gun before enemy flying machines shot it down, but our Leman Russ tanks virtually annihilated these orc flying machines, whose puny attempts to harm the Russ's was laughable.  Meanwhile, on the right flank one of our Manticore MLRS units and a special weapons squad of grenade launchers killed a massive orc vehicle and a number of orcs, which distracted a significant portion of the Orc Waagh! from our main effort on the left.  Lieutenant Piscal was slain while fighting bravely in close combat against the orc War boss.  Once the orcs saw that they were getting wiped out, they fled.  Imperial forces are now hunting down the survivors.  “Suffer Not the Alien to Live.”
