25 June 2010: Holding the Line against Chaos

25 June 2010:  The gallant Uradelns of Charlie Company, 3^rd Battalion, under Captain Warnecke fought bravely until relieved against Chaos Warp Freaks.  Captain Warnecke, Commissar Ackerman and Lieutenant Gremillion of 1^st Platoon all died bravely in melee combat with the freaks.  The HUG platoon slew many huge monstrosities and tied down the enemy for 30 crucial minutes.  Outflanking Vendettas and a Valkyrie then swooped in and deployed reinforcements.  Our flying machines and tanks slew more of the foul creeps and a squad of our veterans killed an additional Warp monster in melee combat.  By the time relief arrived, Colonel Sir Zeller and a handful of troops were left holding the line, but hold it they did.  “To each of us falls a task, and all that the Emperor requires of us Guardsmen is that we hold the line, and die fighting.  It is what we do best.  We die standing.”
