25 June 2009: Planet Tergerus Liberated

25 June 2009:  Glorious victory for 1^st Company, 2^nd Battalion, under Captain Wiemers, which advanced from Petrohafen, having liberated that city from the “Drache-Uten” Eldar on 5 June and caught up to the new Eldar positions outside of Pumorn.  The Uradelns' 1^st and 2^nd Platoons under Lieutenants Dokos and Nave, with Captain Wiemers present on the battlefield, proceeded to thrash the Xenos filth and put the 1 remaining enemy tank to flight.  Displaying sound tactics and inspired leadership, the Uradelns attacked the Xenos just 1 day after the deceitful creatures had sneakily ambushed the Traitor Marines.  Where they had previously been allied to Chaos Warp Spawn against Imperial forces, they have now ambushed Chaos Marines, obviously angered that these Heretics had taken an Eldar Tome into their possession.  We blew up 1 of their 2 tanks, which had attempted to ram 1 of our Leman Russ Battle Tanks and only succeeded in taking damage on itself.  Unfortunately they blew up 1 of our tanks as well.  We also destroyed 9 Jet bikes, including 1 special bike that engaged our infantry in close combat.  We destroyed a ridiculously tall walking thing that bristled with weaponry before it could reach our lines and also killed a squadron of winged Eldar, as well as a lone winged Eldar who looked important but obviously should not have dropped by himself behind our lines.  All of these winged Eldar had dropped bombs on our infantry as they attacked from the sky.  Our Lascannon squad was specifically targeted by the Xenos filth and destroyed with just 2 survivors and only 1 of the 3 Lascannons escaping damage.  Several infantrymen also died heroically.  Captain Wiemers has been awarded The Macharian Cross for his successes in battle and his admirable leadership, and he is the first but will not be the last of the Uradeln 21^st Regiment to win an Imperial Guard Honour.  “Through the destruction of our enemies do we gain salvation”   

Note:  Orbital sensors and scouts report that the worn-down forces of Chaos and Eldar alike have fled Planet Tergerus, leaving the forces of the Imperium in firm control!  The 21st Uradeln Regiment is now embarking upon Imperial Navy ships to go through Warp travel so as to conquer whatever new planet that the Imperium of Man deems worthy of our attention.  Victory for the Imperium and our Regiment's first battle honor to be added to our Regimental flag!
