19 September 2009:  Glorious victory for our valiant regiment!  We have liberated the great city of Merideth, which contains a massive Las-factory.  Strangely enough, the Drache-Uten Eldar had defiled the city with their presence, though all over the rest of planet Aurignac, the herd-minded imbecilic Tau dwell.  This sudden Eldar incursion may be explained by their senseless greed for pretty stones.  Their alien shouts during the battle have been translated as, "Slay the Captain, grab the Spirit Stones!"  This may have referred to our brave Captain Adam of 2nd Company, 2nd Battalion, who kept some pretty stones captured last week from an archaic rock in the city of Yujeveb.  They fought like fanatics, ramming their fragile tanks into ours as we rammed our superior tanks into theirs.  The combat was often melee and in this we prevailed!  Their sinister magic users and screaming witches we brought down in a hail of concentrated las-fire.  Their cowardly snipers we rooted out and burned to crisp with our flamethrowers.  A strike force of Astartes also assisted.  We appreciate the help from the Emperor's Chosen though it is clear that we did not need it.  The Eldar were utterly decimated and we captured three of their tanks!  We handed the prisoners over to the Ordo Xenos Inquisition, who are very interested in why the Eldar were there.
