18 June 2010: Glorious victory for Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion under Captain Oelschlaeger! We have obliterated a force of Chaos Space Marines while suffering light casualties. Our men laughed gleefully as Hunter Killer Missiles, Storm Eagle Rockets, Las Cannons, Battle Cannons, Artillery Bombardments, and all manner of small arms and support fire left the Heretics in mangled heaps. Surprisingly, the enemy managed to reach our gun-line, though not in sufficient force, and our HUG platoon surrounded and butchered them while our Vendettas and Valkyrie outflanked the enemy and routed them.
Pirate activity from Xenos and Chaos raiders has been dying down on Planet Zarevok due to the efforts of the Uradelns and other Imperial Guard regiments. Additionally, we have been training Zarevoki chieftains, who in turn train their warriors in the ways of modern warfare. The Adeptus Mechanicus has also been installing orbital defense lasers to be manned by a small contingent of Techpriests, Servitors, and Zarevoki guards. “There is no such thing as overkill, only varying degrees of hilarity.”
