20 March 2011: The entirety of the mighty Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, under Captain Nathaniel Ratliff, took to the field and won a glorious victory over the traitor Sons of Malice Chaos Space Marines! 3rd Platoon (HUG) was charged by two enemy captains riding on hateful creatures of the warp, along with an enemy squad. The brave guardsmen of 3rd Platoon piled into the enemy, dragging traitor Astartes down from their abominable mounts and to their deaths. 3rd Platoon suffered the most casualties and bore the brunt of the most brutal fighting, and the unit has been awarded the Valour Medal, 3rd Class. Another enemy commander deep struck into the battle - too close to Imperial lines - and was cut down by Commissar Raege's 1st Platoon. Heavy weapons took a heavy toll once again, cutting enemies down from across the battlefield. Bravo Company suffered moderate casualties, which shall be replaced, while dealing the Archenemy a devastating blow: 20 Sons of Malice slain, 3 vehicles destroyed, and their warp beasts banished back to the aether!
The next day we received glorious news from space! After many battles, which our own forces have long been on the losing end of, the Imperium has emerged Triumphant! The supplement of lighter dictator class cruisers from Kadesh has allowed us to overwhelm the enemy with ordinance targets, forcing them back on the defensive before they can recover!
After destroying the Aelionos Eternus in the opening stages of the battle, the chaos forces drew if for the kill, only for the Imperial navy to unleash a devastating torpedo barrage, crippling most of their fleet. Behind the torpedoes came waves of bombers. The chaos fleet broke off and attempted to flee into the warp.
"All tubes! FIRE!! Blow them out of the stars!"

18 March 2011
18 March 2011: After a long rest and refit, Captain Ratliff's Bravo Company, 1st Battalion has taken to the field once more! They have successfully pioneered the use of auto-cannons within HUG platoons (HW HUG).
In their first engagement, they were beset by insidious Dark Eldar raiders, finding themselves in close combat before the first shots were fired! Sergeant Neuehoffe was forced to abandon two sentinels, but led the remaining two in a stalling action, preventing the enemy advance. Despite the foe's malicious skills and weapons, Commissar Danith (Valour Medal, 3rd Class) and 1st Platoon (HW HUG) prevailed over the Xenos in the brutal swirling melee. 2nd Platoon (HW HUG) took few casualties, and 3rd (HUG) took none. Our heavy weapons flashed across the battlefield, and the Dark Eldar, whose vehicles are fast yet flimsy, found themselves on the losing end of the engagement!
Despite the brave actions of Bravo Company, the foul Xenos were able to capture some of our Chaos Space Marine prisoners who would have been sent to be interrogated and then executed by the Ordo Hereticus of the Holy Inquisition. The cowardly Xenos then retreated back into the webway with notably fewer numbers, even leaving behind some of their wounded for us to have fun with in their haste to escape our wrath!

12 March 2011
12 March 2011: Elements of Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, under Captain Oelschlaeger (Valour Medal, 3rd Class, Posthumous), have encountered a fast moving Ork raiding party in the Tointon wilderness near a derelict Eldar webway portal. We devastated the majority of their 'truks,' killed and dispersed the majority of their 'boyz,' and harassed their nobz, killa-kans, deth-koptas, and grievously wounded their warboss. Unfortunately, the greenskins' lust for loot knew no bounds and they greedily looted a weapons cache before fleeing the area. Commissar Mailloux (Valour Medal, 3rd Class, Posthumous) had the misfortune of leading Aurignaci conscripts, who have been noted for their unwillingness to fight at close quarters. Despite the Commissar's heroic example and his summary execution of a cowardly sergeant, the Aurignaci attempted to flee from the enemy and were butchered in the pursuit. The Vendetta pilot apparently got lost and was a late arrival. He was shot down immediately, careened out of control, managed to blow up, and the melta-gun veterans were lost. Lieutenant Rezner (Valour Medal, 3rd Class, Posthumous) and his command squad made a good account of themselves with their flamethrowers, burning an entire squad of Ork boyz from their chimera transport and then charging bravely into close combat with Ork nobz in a heroic attempt to rescue Captain Oelschlaeger and his beleaguered command squad at the weapons cache site. Our ordnance also devastated the enemy, but once again, the enemy values loot over their own lives.

6 March 2011
6 March 2011: The Arch-Enemy has once again struck our lines in massive numbers, foolishly committing far too many of their forces to fight on Planet Scelus while neglecting the rest of their offensive around the Eye of Terror. This strategic error on the part of the Enemy Warmaster, Abbadon the Despoiler, will undoubtedly prove to be his undoing. “Failbaddon” has a 0-12 record in his Black Crusades against the Imperium and we know that in the end, he shall live up to his nickname and fail yet again! Charlie Company, 2nd Battalion, under Captain Scherffius, and allied Skitarii of the Adeptus Mechanicus, acted with supreme self-sacrifice and fought a grinding battle of attrition against Chaos Space Marines of the hated Black Legion and their Warp Spawn allies. Commissar Snell and Lieutenants Stawarz and Macninch, leading 2nd and 3rd HUG Platoons respectively, all earned the Valour Medal, 3rd Class posthumously and their men fought like lions, following their heroic examples. We dealt horrific casualties upon the Arch-Enemy and they failed to reach Captain Scherffius and his Command Squad, which was their primary objective.

21 Februay 2011
21 February 2011: Bravo Company, 3rd Battalion, under Captain Donovan (KIA) was mauled by a huge force of warp spawn, xenos raiders, and Skitarii of the Dark Mechanicum. The Uradelns and their Black Templar space marine allies fought a grueling slug-fest, meting out heavy casualties to the enemy forces and killing off most of their monstrosities and massive war machines. Yet the slavering hordes rushed onwards, uncaring of throwing their lives away to our flamers, ordnance, and direct fire, and 1st and 2nd platoons (HUG) were eventually destroyed, though they gave as well as they got, inspired by the heroic examples of their commissars. Lieutenants Bradbeer and Bremser, along with some surviving tank crewmen, las-cannon crewmen, a Valkyrie, and the remnants of the allied space marine contingent, managed to get back to friendly lines and our ships are now bombarding the battlefield from low orbit.
13 February 2011
13 February 2011: Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, under Captain Oelschlaeger, won a swift and glorious victory over the foul spawn of the warp. Under the captain's skillful leadership, our brave Uradelns swiftly isolated and closed the warp rift, and butchered the foul creatures that had come out of it, banishing them back into the abyss!
29 to 30 January 2011
29 to 30 January 2011: The Chaos Space Marines of the Black Legion, who have come to Scelus to rescue the Sons of Malice, have been ground to a halt in the Kathal lowlands. Skitarii foot soldiers of the Adeptus Mechanicus fought alongside the brave and stalwart guardsmen of Alpha Company, 2nd Battalion under Captain Manarang. The mechanically enhanced Skitarii screened the cherished Uradelns and fought valiantly in hand to hand combat against the traitor marines while the Uradelns fired volley after volley into the Arch-Traitors. The Magos of the Adeptus Mechanicus called back all of their Skitarii mid-way through the battle after they had suffered heavy casualties and it was left to the Uradelns to go it alone. Commissar Wheeler and Lieutenant Melius of 2nd Platoon (HUG) inspired their men and all fought valiantly to the last, but they held the line against the vile enemy, who could not break through 1st Platoon (HUG) under Lieutenant McCormack, although the latter sustained heavy casualties.
The next day, in the Bane Valley sector, the contemptible Eldar struck in force and were given a sound thrashing! Bravo Company, 3rd Battalion under Captain Donovan fought well alongside Grey Knight space marines, earning their respect. Our ordnance, armor support, and tank-hunting veterans devastated the fragile vehicles of the vile xenos, while they in turn could not so much as scratch our own, for ours were forged by men! Their gaudily painted clown warriors avoided 1st Platoon (HUG) with well placed fear and instead fought the Grey Knights, yet still they died. We sustained light casualties and wrought such great destruction upon the foe that they fled back into the Web-way. “Do not ask how you may give your life for the Emperor. Ask instead how you may give your death.”
22 January 2011
22 January 2011: Alpha Company, 1st Battalion under Captain Robinette(KIA) have won a glorious victory over the Craft-world Eldar! We are not sure why they have come to Scelus, but then, no one ever really knows why the Eldar do what they do, maybe not even the Eldar themselves! Our Space Marine allies suffered heavy casualties but they did their job by distracting the enemy while we mighty Uradelns annihilated the foe. 3rd Platoon(HUG) under Lieutenant Garrett Sharpe(KIA) suffered heavy casualties from the foul warp powers of the xenos filth, but they stood their ground, inspired by Commissar Fortier. Their glorious stand protected the armor and artillery support, which devastated the enemy. Our close air support was quick to respond, knocking out Eldar armor and dropping melta-toting veterans into the fray. These veterans were assaulted by Dire Avengers and first our brave lads held their own against the attackers, then gained the upper hand, causing the few surviving Eldar to show their true colors and flee like the cowards they are! When the enemy fled the field, we captured an immobilized Eldar tank and the crew inside, who have been handed over to the Ordo Xenos of the Holy Inquisition. “The blaze of a lasgun shall light your way in dark times.”
