2 December 2011

2 December 2011:  The Uradeln 21st Regiment has remained on planet Rhaegar for some time training and indoctrinating the Rhaegar Planetary Defense Force in the vicinity of Hive Targaryen.  Recently we hosted a joint training exercise along with Imperial Astartes of the Space Wolves Chapter.  Uradeln Officers and NCOs paired with their counterparts in the Rhaegar PDF as advisors and won a resounding victory over the Space Wolves OPFOR (Opposing Forces).  We have added many new Basilisk artillery guns to our regiment from the forges in Targaryen.  We used to have just a token amount of artillery so we kept them far from the front lines but now we are practicing fielding some of the guns nearer to the front, where they can provide more accurate fire support.  There is one thing that darkens the holiday feeling within the regiment, as well as darkening the spirits of the rest of the humans of Targaryen: a large space hulk has been spotted on Imperial Navy scanners and it is heading towards Rhaegar.  There’s no telling what could be in it.

28 October 2011: Conscripts, the one with the lasgun shoots!

28 October 2011:  Due to disturbances in the Warp, Astropath messages have been unable to reach the Imperium from planet Rhaegar for some time.  For a long time there have been few real battles to speak of in the war against the cultists of Khorne, though there have been some skirmishes. Most of the cultists have been slaughtered, such as in the battle on 28 October in Hive Targaryen, and many citizens of planet Rhaegar have been pressed into service as Conscripts by the Imperial forces to assist the latter in hunting down the last vestiges of the Cult.  The Uradeln 21st Regiment, tasked with securing Hive Targaryen, the capital of Rhaegar, has conscripted the most citizens, and many of the most fit have been used as replacements within the ranks of the Uradeln 21st.  On 28 October, no less than four platoons of Rhaegar Conscripts were sent charging against the Enemy in multiple waves while one HUG platoon of Uradeln Guardsmen held the line.  This final battle in Hive Targaryen was bloody for the Imperium, but the last of the Khornate cultists in the hive city were slain. Imperial forces are mopping up on planet Rhaegar and the Uradeln 21st Regiment may be shipped out at any time to go to their next planet and their next conquest!

26 August 2011

26 August 2011:  Glorious victory for our valorous Uradeln guardsmen!  Alpha Company, 3rd Battalion, under Captain Kipton Burba smashed the Chaos foe on the outskirts of Targaryen Hive, preventing the Enemy relief force from making any headway.  The Enemy attempted to roll over our stalwart infantry using their infernal metal boxes, and Commissar Medovich momentarily lost control over 2nd Platoon (HUG) on the left flank, despite executing a sergeant on the spot in an attempt to maintain discipline.  Fortunately, Captain Burba intervened and ordered them back into the fight, and this time the men did their duty and charged into close combat and slaughtered the traitor Astartes to the last man, though not in time to save their platoon leader, Lieutenant Swanson, who died heroically.  Meanwhile, 3rd Platoon (HUG) under Lieutenant Sibel, fought a frenzied battle in the center.  All of the men died but their sacrifice prevented the enemy from reaching our armor, artillery, and command units.  Our vehicles and flying machines destroyed all of the foe’s metal boxes and laid waste to the enemy infantry.  Victory for Uradel and for the Imperium!

12 August 2011

12 August 2011:  Glorious victory for Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, under Captain Ratliff!  While pursuing a villainous traitor north of Targaryen Hive, the Uradelns located an enemy defector working his way to Imperial lines.  Chagrined at this, the Enemy launched a brutal attack to both slay him and protect the traitor!  The battle opened with Chaos Sorcerers conjuring up devious Warp rifts close to Imperial lines to allow their Warp Spawns to close into melee range quickly.  Seeing this, Captain Ratliff ordered a brilliant counter-attack, the 'Red Queen,' and another vendetta supporting the attack moved up and deployed Bravo's veterans, while 1st Platoon HUG, under Commissar Raege advanced at full pace. Both Warp rifts were shut down, with only a single unit of Spawn able to slip through.  These Warp freaks were swiftly crushed under Imperial boots!  With their devious plans thwarted, the enemy had no choice but to attack Bravo through the outlying settlements.  Their march, unorganized and slow, was subjected to relentless bombardment from Bravo's Masters of Ordinance and the near legendary 'Roaring Ovation.' Their monsters and brutal close combat elites managed to reach the lines in strength, but heavy weapons and 2nd Platoon HUG HW slaughtered them in a vicious melee!  After a lascannon barrage that reduced a vehicle to a smoking heap, Captain Ratliff spotted the traitor crawling from the wreckage. With a word, a second Lascannon team spread him across twenty meters of rockcrete. The only losses of the battle were a number of Bravo veterans who had heroically given their lives to close the rifts, and the vendetta 'Sacred Duty,' whose wing was sheared off by Warp energies just after depositing its veterans.

Captain Nathaniel Ratliff has now been promoted to the rank of Major and Colonel Sir Zeller has requested the Departmento Munitorum that Major Ratliff be awarded The Macharian Cross for his numerous displays of tactical and strategic brilliance over the course of many campaigns!

5 August 2011: Street Fighting in the the Workers' Hab Blocks

5 August 2011:  Imperial Forces have claimed the Workers' Hab District of Targaryen Hive after driving the Traitor Rhaegar PDF back during heavy street fighting.  The Workers' Hab District lies just inside the ruins of The Dragon Gate, which our valiant soldiers recently breached in order to begin the conquest of Planet Rhaegar's principle hive city.  Our forces had to contend with minefields, tank traps, and barricades.  An armored spearhead, followed by infantry, delivered a glorious victory!  Elements of the Uradeln 21st Regiment, the Night Hawks Space Marines, and the Vostok 19th Regiment participated.  The Uradelns lost 11 Guardsmen, 1 Leman Russ, and 1 Hellhound (a flamethrower tank).  The Night Hawks lost 6 Space Marines and the Vostok lost 1 Leman Russ and 1 Vendetta gunship was damaged and later repaired after the battle.  We killed over 90 Traitor Rhaegar PDF, 1 of their few Leman Russ tanks, and sent their remnants to flight!  The Traitors poured all of their reinforcements into their left flank because the Uradelns drove relentlessly into them and blasted them apart!  Additionally, once Night Hawks Assault Marines took the Communications Tower on Hill 17 they eliminated the scrambling code and their ships sent down a massive orbital bombardment that annihilated many of the Traitors that the Uradelns were facing.

23 July 2011: Breaching The Dragon Gate of Hive Targaryen

23 July 2011:  Colonel Sir Zeller personally led the Uradeln 21st Regiment to a Glorious Victory in securing entrance to Hive Targaryen by blasting through The Dragon Gate in the northeastern sector of planet Rhaegar’s principle hive city.  The mighty gate, built long ago in The Dark Age of Technology, withstood heavy punishment before finally collapsing under the guns of no less than our Regiment’s Super Heavy Tank, the Malleus ira Dei, as well as from the guns of numerous Leman Russ Battle Tanks and Basilisk artillery pieces from the Uradeln 21st and the Vostok 19th.  The venerable Malleus ira Dei led a mighty armored spearhead, crushing the puny tank traps that had been thrown up by the cowardly PDF(Planetary Defense Forces) troopers who now fight for The Enemy.  A strike force of Imperial Space Marines from the Blood Angels Chapter also took part in the assault, using their jump packs to leap over the city walls and assault the vile traitors.  Their vanguard elements penetrated deep into the outer city blocks where they discovered and killed five Chaos Space Marines of the Black Legion who had been manning one of the wretched AA guns that laid low our Vendettas and Valkyrie.  If there were more Black Legionnaires in the vicinity, they must have fled ahead of our victorious forces.  The traitor PDF commander kept feeding squads of reinforcements into the meat-grinder, determined to stop us at the gate, but the Malleus ira Dei blasted the traitors into oblivion as she emerged, wounded but vital, through the wreckage of The Dragon Gate, and into Targaryen Hive.

Cleaning up planet Scelus and moving on to planet Rhaegar

24 June, 1 July, 4 July 2011:  The mighty and righteous Uradeln 21st Regiment crushed the last of the enemy forces on planet Scelus in battles on the 24th and the 1st.  First, the last of the cultists were annihilated in a woodland battle.  The following week, the last of the Traitor Black Legion on Scelus were hunted down and slain within an urban ruin.
As soon as victory was achieved, the Uradeln 21st began boarding Imperial Navy transport.  Their destination is very near: planet Rhaegar.  The 13th Black Crusade of Abbaddon the Despoiler has engulfed Rhaegar.  The hive world has largely fallen to Chaos following an uprising of cultists of Khorne who were native to the planet.  They have been joined by a small number of Chaos Space Marines from the Black Legion, who typically assume individual leadership of groups of cultists.  Unfortunately, a large portion of the Rhaegar Planetary Defense Force, the PDF, have also turned traitor, taking whatever war machines they had with them over to the enemy camp.  Rhaegar, like Scelus, is very near the Eye of Terror, where Warpspace meets real space and where the Forces of Chaos hide.
On 4 July, the Forces of the Imperium began the reclamation of Rhaegar by landing Imperial Guard reinforcements to aid the beleaguered and greatly diminished loyal Rhaegar PDF, who still hold out within districts of some of the Hive cities.  Elements of the Sons of Sajuuk Space Marine Chapter cleared a landing zone by knocking out anti-air defenses in a strongpoint in the eastern hemisphere, near Targaryen Hive, which is the principal Hive city on Rhaegar.  The Uradeln 21st is even now on its way to Targaryen Hive and other Imperial forces have already begun landing in the vicinity.  This includes a full company of the Sons of Sajuuk, a half company of Blood Angels, half a company of the Order of the Lady Adeptus Sororitas, one battalion of the Vostok 19th Imperial Guard, and rumor has it that a handful of stormtroopers from the Caladan 101st have arrived, and they usually accompany a certain Inquisitor…

17 June 2011: Just as Planned!

17 June 2011:  The brilliant Captain Easterling, commander of Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, has duped the Eldar foe!  Faced with three separate Eldar factions, each led by a Farseer, which is a powerful psyker, our maverick Captain convinced one Farseer to defect.  Thus did he use the Xenos warriors against each other and during the course of the battle our brave soldiers assassinated the other two Eldar Farseers, inflicted crippling casualties upon the Xenos scum, and ensured that the Eldar defectors suffered massive casualties so that at battle’s end the few allied Xenos survivors could be taken prisoner!  2nd Platoon (HUG) suffered over 60% casualties to Eldar shooting and flamer weapons before being assaulted by jetbikes.  They slugged it out and eventually defeated that foe before being finished off by still more enemy forces.  Commissar Vona, who was the lone survivor of 2nd Platoon (HUG) received the Wound Badge 3rd Class.  Troopers Gotred and Felix, a Lascannon team, were awarded the Valour Medal 3rd Class.  The pair came under enemy fire and the rest of their squad was killed, but they stuck it out and brought down the Eldar Walkers, blew up an Eldar transport tank – killing three nearby Xenos warriors and exposing the second enemy Farseer to die – and rushed a ruined building where the allied Eldar Farseer and his warriors were locked in a swirling melee with enemy Guardian squad.  Once the enemy saw their cannon they fled and this action proved pivotal.  The allied Farseer, the only one of the three left alive, had been wounded and was easily captured, along with the pitifully few remaining Eldar forces.

4 and 10 June 2011: The Scelus Warp Storms are lifted

4 and 10 June 2011:  Wonderful news!  The Warp Storms around Planet Scelus have abated and the Uradeln 21st Regiment, as well as allied Imperial Guard regiments and Space Marines, are alive and well.  Piratical Eldar raiders must have been waiting for the end of the Warp Storms around Planet Scelus because as soon as they lifted the foul Xenos struck.  The raiders were checked by the stalwart men of Alpha Company, 3rd Battalion, under Captain Kipton Burba.  Their flimsy vehicles, while fast, were cut apart like paper Mache by our disciplined weapons fire.  As a result, they could not hit 1st Platoon (HUG), under Lieutenant Stiner, in sufficient numbers and we ground them down.  The men were inspired by the personal example of the resolute Commissar Medovich and fought heroically even though they sustained heavy casualties.  1st Platoon, A Co, 3rd Battalion has been awarded the Valour Medal 3rd Class as a Unit Award.
On the 10th the Xenos raiders struck again, this time in conjunction with the Black Legion, and we won a glorious victory over the enemies of Mankind!  Whether or not these two enemies of the Imperium were working together or if they just happened to both be going after the same target is uncertain.  Nevertheless, the brave Uradelns of 1st Platoon, Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, under Lieutenant Werdehausen, who were on a patrol, dealt heavy casualties to the enemy, particularly to the Eldar skimmers.  Our allies, Space Marines in grey livery from an unknown chapter, were able to drive the Black Legion Chaos Space Marines away from a critical bridge after the brave sacrifice of Commissar Fortier (Valour Medal 3rd Class, Posthumous) and 1st Platoon (HUG), who held them off long enough for the Terminators to arrive from orbit.

24 April 2011: Scelus is enveloped in a Warp Storm

24 April 2011:  [Message from astropaths of the Imperial Navy at the Cadian Gate to Duke Zeller, ruler of Planet Uradel]
Noble Duke, we have troubling news.  The Planet Scelus has been suddenly enveloped by a Warp Storm, and many units of Space Marines and Imperial Guard are now trapped on its surface.  The Uradeln 21st Regiment is among those trapped.  Your cousin, Colonel Sir Zeller, is trapped there along with his regiment.
It is speculated that the Traitor Sons of Malice are responsible.  Knowing that they were sure to lose the planet, their sorcerers had been summoning great numbers of Warp Spawn, and yet still the forces of the Imperium were on the verge of triumph.  They must have had a cabal of sorcerers with prodigious powers to have pulled this off, however, we remain optimistic that the forces of the Emperor will yet triumph and that the storms will abate, though we have no way of knowing when the latter will occur.  These storms can last for any amount of time, ranging from weeks to centuries.
For now, we must trust in the Emperor, for the Imperium's normal methods of travel and communication with Planet Scelus are now impossible.  The Warp surrounding this region has become too chaotic for a starship to safely travel through or for an astropath to send or receive a telepathic message through the psychic "interference."

16 April 2011: Traitor Sons of Malice turn to desperate tactics

16 April 2011:  The Uradeln 21st Regiment went to the assistance of a Grey Knights task force and forces from another Space Marine chapter in order to once more eradicate the foul denizens of the Warp from planet Scelus.  The Warp spawn are being summoned by the Sons of Malice Chaos Space Marines, who dare not fight us directly, as we have devastated their numbers in this brutal war of attrition which favors ultimate victory for the Imperial Guard.  Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, under Captain Ryan Easterling gave a good account of themselves while fighting bravely alongside the Space Marines.
The favored tactic was to position the Space Marines in the front, where they could serve as a buffer against the slavering Warp spawn, while the Uradelns poured on a murderous barrage of fire, both direct and indirect.  This plan worked well for Lieutenant Whitcomb and 2nd Platoon (HUG) on the left, with the Grey Knights, who were willing to cooperate with our leadership's wisdom.  Unfortunately, the other Space Marine chapter was unwilling to be a team player, lacking the intestinal fortitude to stand up to the slavering hordes of Warp spawn.  They fled during the course of the battle and it was left to Commissar Vona (Valour Medal, 2nd Class), Lieutenant Wingate (Valour Medal, 3rd Class), and the men of 1st Platoon (HUG) to hold the right flank.  This they did with admirable valour.  For their bravery and sacrifice, 1st Platoon, Charlie 1-21 has been awarded the Valour Medal, 3rd Class, as a Unit Award.

8 April 2011

8 April 2011:  The Uradeln 21st Regiment and Imperial forces all across planet Scelus are now inexorably on the offensive against the forces of Chaos.  Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, under Captain Ryan Easterling, have defeated the Sons of Malice Chaos Space Marines, who are now few in number and abandoned by the Black Legion.  The latter have given up their nefarious designs for planet Scelus and have fled the system!
The Archenemy employed their despicable Warp powers against 1st and 3rd HUG platoons, under Lieutenants Wingate and Link respectively.  Despite the machinations of Chaos, both platoons defeated the Traitor Marines that were sent to assault them.
Lieutenant Link (Valour Medal, 3rd Class) boldly ran 3rd platoon straight towards their objective, directing their lasguns in a massive volley that wiped out the Traitor Marines who were guarding the Promethium Refinery.  Commissar Vona (Valour Medal, 3rd Class) then inspired 3rd platoon with distinction, and these men bore the brunt of the close combat with the Archenemy, suffering heavy casualties but eventually emerging victorious and then taking their objective along with a chaos cultist prisoner!  3rd Platoon, Charlie 1-21 has received the Valour Medal, 3rd Class, as a Unit Award.

1 to 2 April 2011: The 69th Cadian Mechanized arrives to bolster embattled Uradeln units

1 April 2011:  Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, has met the enemy once more! While advancing through a jungle region of planet Scelus, 2nd and 3rd Platoons, under the direct command of Captain Ratliff, were set upon by the insidious Eldar. Wraithlords, giant monstrosities ten meters tall marched behind a wall of lesser wraithguard, automatons taller even than Astartes. Jetbikes swept out in vanguard, only to be annihilated by the full power of 2nd HW HUG platoon, and Sgt. Neuehoffe's sentinels. Their vile and debased psykers harnessed the vile power of the warp, scattering Bravo's most destructive weapons off target. However, their vile sorceries were no match for the Emperor's righteousness! Lascannons blasted huge chunks from their monstrous walkers, quickly disabling all of them! On the other side of the battle, several Xenos infantry squads held a primary objective. They fired throughout the battle, but were so pathetic that Bravo simply ignored them. Finally 1st Platoon (HUG) under Commissar Raege arrived and advanced in short order. The enemy was quickly overwhelmed and either captured or killed.
2nd and 3rd Platoons found themselves in close combat against the enemy wraithguard. Unimaginably tough, they were nearly impossible to kill, having no vital organs and no fear. However, not once did the valiant Uradelns step back! Sgt. Neuehoffe (Valour Medal, 3rd Class) ordered her sentinels into close combat, buying time to secure the objectives and move the infantry to safety.
Once successful, all units disengaged and withdrew. The 12th Caladani Artillery Regiment has begun saturation bombardment, and no enemies are believed to have survived.
2 April 2011:  The next day, in another part of the jungle, Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, under Captain Oelschlaeger, were attacked by the mindless, gibbering spawn from the Warp.  Commissar Mailloux, Lieutenants Rezner and Schwartz, and the men of 1st and 2nd Platoons (HUG), all earned the Valour Medal, 3rd Class Posthumously for bravely holding the line against the most horrific creatures that the Archenemy can throw against the Imperium of Man.  The Ordo Malleus of the Holy Inquisition and their allies, the Grey Knights, have been sent in to banish the warp spawn and to close the Warp rift from whence they came into the material universe.
On a much lighter note, that same day the men of Alpha Company, 3rd Battalion, under Captain Kipton Burba, conducted an enjoyable and educational training exercise with our Regiment's newly arrived allies, the 69th Cadian, Mechanized, in a desert region of planet Scelus, far behind the front lines while on R&R.

20 to 21 March 2011: Victories on the ground and in space

20 March 2011:  The entirety of the mighty Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, under Captain Nathaniel Ratliff, took to the field and won a glorious victory over the traitor Sons of Malice Chaos Space Marines!  3rd Platoon (HUG) was charged by two enemy captains riding on hateful creatures of the warp, along with an enemy squad.  The brave guardsmen of 3rd Platoon piled into the enemy, dragging traitor Astartes down from their abominable mounts and to their deaths.  3rd Platoon suffered the most casualties and bore the brunt of the most brutal fighting, and the unit has been awarded the Valour Medal, 3rd Class.  Another enemy commander deep struck into the battle - too close to Imperial lines - and was cut down by Commissar Raege's 1st Platoon.  Heavy weapons took a heavy toll once again, cutting enemies down from across the battlefield.  Bravo Company suffered moderate casualties, which shall be replaced, while dealing the Archenemy a devastating blow: 20 Sons of Malice slain, 3 vehicles destroyed, and their warp beasts banished back to the aether!
The next day we received glorious news from space!  After many battles, which our own forces have long been on the losing end of, the Imperium has emerged Triumphant! The supplement of lighter dictator class cruisers from Kadesh has allowed us to overwhelm the enemy with ordinance targets, forcing them back on the defensive before they can recover!
After destroying the Aelionos Eternus in the opening stages of the battle, the chaos forces drew if for the kill, only for the Imperial navy to unleash a devastating torpedo barrage, crippling most of their fleet. Behind the torpedoes came waves of bombers. The chaos fleet broke off and attempted to flee into the warp.

18 March 2011

18 March 2011:  After a long rest and refit, Captain Ratliff's Bravo Company, 1st Battalion has taken to the field once more!  They have successfully pioneered the use of auto-cannons within HUG platoons (HW HUG).
In their first engagement, they were beset by insidious Dark Eldar raiders, finding themselves in close combat before the first shots were fired!  Sergeant Neuehoffe was forced to abandon two sentinels, but led the remaining two in a stalling action, preventing the enemy advance.  Despite the foe's malicious skills and weapons, Commissar Danith (Valour Medal, 3rd Class) and 1st Platoon (HW HUG) prevailed over the Xenos in the brutal swirling melee.  2nd Platoon (HW HUG) took few casualties, and 3rd (HUG) took none.  Our heavy weapons flashed across the battlefield, and the Dark Eldar, whose vehicles are fast yet flimsy, found themselves on the losing end of the engagement!
Despite the brave actions of Bravo Company, the foul Xenos were able to capture some of our Chaos Space Marine prisoners who would have been sent to be interrogated and then executed by the Ordo Hereticus of the Holy Inquisition.  The cowardly Xenos then retreated back into the webway with notably fewer numbers, even leaving behind some of their wounded for us to have fun with in their haste to escape our wrath!

12 March 2011

12 March 2011:  Elements of Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, under Captain Oelschlaeger (Valour Medal, 3rd Class, Posthumous), have encountered a fast moving Ork raiding party in the Tointon wilderness near a derelict Eldar webway portal.  We devastated the majority of their 'truks,' killed and dispersed the majority of their 'boyz,' and harassed their nobz, killa-kans, deth-koptas, and grievously wounded their warboss.  Unfortunately, the greenskins' lust for loot knew no bounds and they greedily looted a weapons cache before fleeing the area.  Commissar Mailloux (Valour Medal, 3rd Class, Posthumous) had the misfortune of leading Aurignaci conscripts, who have been noted for their unwillingness to fight at close quarters.  Despite the Commissar's heroic example and his summary execution of a cowardly sergeant, the Aurignaci attempted to flee from the enemy and were butchered in the pursuit.  The Vendetta pilot apparently got lost and was a late arrival.  He was shot down immediately, careened out of control, managed to blow up, and the melta-gun veterans were lost.  Lieutenant Rezner (Valour Medal, 3rd Class, Posthumous) and his command squad made a good account of themselves with their flamethrowers, burning an entire squad of Ork boyz from their chimera transport and then charging bravely into close combat with Ork nobz in a heroic attempt to rescue Captain Oelschlaeger and his beleaguered command squad at the weapons cache site.  Our ordnance also devastated the enemy, but once again, the enemy values loot over their own lives.

6 March 2011

6 March 2011:  The Arch-Enemy has once again struck our lines in massive numbers, foolishly committing far too many of their forces to fight on Planet Scelus while neglecting the rest of their offensive around the Eye of Terror.  This strategic error on the part of the Enemy Warmaster, Abbadon the Despoiler, will undoubtedly prove to be his undoing.  “Failbaddon” has a 0-12 record in his Black Crusades against the Imperium and we know that in the end, he shall live up to his nickname and fail yet again!  Charlie Company, 2nd Battalion, under Captain Scherffius, and allied Skitarii of the Adeptus Mechanicus, acted with supreme self-sacrifice and fought a grinding battle of attrition against Chaos Space Marines of the hated Black Legion and their Warp Spawn allies.  Commissar Snell and Lieutenants Stawarz and Macninch, leading 2nd and 3rd HUG Platoons respectively, all earned the Valour Medal, 3rd Class posthumously and their men fought like lions, following their heroic examples.  We dealt horrific casualties upon the Arch-Enemy and they failed to reach Captain Scherffius and his Command Squad, which was their primary objective.

21 Februay 2011

21 February 2011:  Bravo Company, 3rd Battalion, under Captain Donovan (KIA) was mauled by a huge force of warp spawn, xenos raiders, and Skitarii of the Dark Mechanicum.  The Uradelns and their Black Templar space marine allies fought a grueling slug-fest, meting out heavy casualties to the enemy forces and killing off most of their monstrosities and massive war machines.  Yet the slavering hordes rushed onwards, uncaring of throwing their lives away to our flamers, ordnance, and direct fire, and 1st and 2nd platoons (HUG) were eventually destroyed, though they gave as well as they got, inspired by the heroic examples of their commissars.  Lieutenants Bradbeer and Bremser, along with some surviving tank crewmen, las-cannon crewmen, a Valkyrie, and the remnants of the allied space marine contingent, managed to get back to friendly lines and our ships are now bombarding the battlefield from low orbit.

13 February 2011

13 February 2011:  Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, under Captain Oelschlaeger, won a swift and glorious victory over the foul spawn of the warp.  Under the captain's skillful leadership, our brave Uradelns swiftly isolated and closed the warp rift, and butchered the foul creatures that had come out of it, banishing them back into the abyss!
