24 June, 1 July, 4 July 2011: The mighty and righteous Uradeln 21st Regiment crushed the last of the enemy forces on planet Scelus in battles on the 24th and the 1st. First, the last of the cultists were annihilated in a woodland battle. The following week, the last of the Traitor Black Legion on Scelus were hunted down and slain within an urban ruin.
As soon as victory was achieved, the Uradeln 21st began boarding Imperial Navy transport. Their destination is very near: planet Rhaegar. The 13th Black Crusade of Abbaddon the Despoiler has engulfed Rhaegar. The hive world has largely fallen to Chaos following an uprising of cultists of Khorne who were native to the planet. They have been joined by a small number of Chaos Space Marines from the Black Legion, who typically assume individual leadership of groups of cultists. Unfortunately, a large portion of the Rhaegar Planetary Defense Force, the PDF, have also turned traitor, taking whatever war machines they had with them over to the enemy camp. Rhaegar, like Scelus, is very near the Eye of Terror, where Warpspace meets real space and where the Forces of Chaos hide.
On 4 July, the Forces of the Imperium began the reclamation of Rhaegar by landing Imperial Guard reinforcements to aid the beleaguered and greatly diminished loyal Rhaegar PDF, who still hold out within districts of some of the Hive cities. Elements of the Sons of Sajuuk Space Marine Chapter cleared a landing zone by knocking out anti-air defenses in a strongpoint in the eastern hemisphere, near Targaryen Hive, which is the principal Hive city on Rhaegar. The Uradeln 21st is even now on its way to Targaryen Hive and other Imperial forces have already begun landing in the vicinity. This includes a full company of the Sons of Sajuuk, a half company of Blood Angels, half a company of the Order of the Lady Adeptus Sororitas, one battalion of the Vostok 19th Imperial Guard, and rumor has it that a handful of stormtroopers from the Caladan 101st have arrived, and they usually accompany a certain Inquisitor…
